公民自由與警權界限

社區發展動力培育舉辦「政策對話及參與」系列，旨在促進公民社會溝通交流。今次我們邀請了立法會議員、公民黨黨魁梁家傑先生，作為本次活動的對話嘉賓。

「和平佔中」運動秘書處義工陳玉峰，因參與兩年前七一遊行後的集會，5月8日被警方拘捕及起訴「協助組織未經批准集結」的罪名。事件掀起公眾對警察製造白色恐怖的質疑，令香港公民的集會自由蒙上陰影。究竟警權是否過大？香港人的集會及遊行自由是否受到不必要的干擾及限制？另外，民陣警權關注組召集人王浩賢亦會到場分享他對警權界限的看法。

The Border of Civic Liberties and Police Power

Engagement Evening, the public engagement series organized by Community Development Initiative, is honored to have Mr. Alan Leong Kah-kit, Legislative Councillor and Leader of the Civic Party, to be our keynote speaker.

Melody Chan Yuk-fung, the 26-year-old volunteer of the Occupy Central movement, was arrested on May 8 for her alleged involvement in the blocking of roads in Central nearly two years ago. This raises public concern on whether the arrest is a result of political persecution and abuse of police power. The freedom of demonstration and assembly seems to be unnecessarily restricted.
