張建宗局長談解決貧窮問題的策略
社區發展動力培育舉辦「政策對話及參與」系列，旨在促進公民社會溝通交流。今次我們邀請了勞工及福利局局長張建宗先生，作為本次活動的對話嘉賓。
政府重設扶貧委員會，承諾會為香港設定貧窮線，以分析香港的貧窮狀況及評估扶貧措施的成效，亦會開展改善社會保障及退休保障的工作。近日民間有意見指出，政府可以考慮設立多條貧窮線，以更能監察不同貧窮程度人士數目。面對香港的貧窮問題，政府會有什麼策略去改善有關情況，又會如何去監察扶貧措施的成效呢？

Tackling Poverty in Hong Kong
Engagement Evening, the public engagement series organized by Community Development Initiative, is honored to have Mr. Cheung Kin Chung, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, to be our keynote speaker.
The government re-establishes the Commission on Poverty to devise and implement a comprehensive social welfare policy to tackle poverty problem in Hong Kong. A poverty line will be set up to analyze the poverty situation and to evaluate the effectiveness of poverty alleviation policies. It has been suggested that the government can set up multiple poverty lines to better monitor various marginalized and disadvantaged groups. How does government respond to the current poverty situation and monitor the effectiveness of respective policies?
